TAM Today
NEW: TAM Ceramics operates on 35-acres of research, development, storage and manufacturing facilities that produce a wide range of high quality engineered ceramic powders for the process industries. Our products are shipped to a diverse base of domestic and international customers that represent the refractory, chemical, automotive, and electronics sectors.
On February 26, 2011, TAM Ceramics was honored as Business of the Year 2011 by the Niagara USA Chamber. Below is a video that was produced for the ceremony; it provides a short introduction to our company.
Strategically located along the Niagara River between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, TAM is powered by renewable hydroelectricity from the New York Power Authority. This allows us to remain price-competitive while manufacturing a high quality product.
Our proximity to three international bridges, a world-class airport, the St. Lawrence Seaway, and a direct in-plant CSX rail line, allows us to offer multiple transportation solutions to our customers. Unlike vertically integrated ceramic manufacturers, TAM does not manufacture finished products from our powders. This means that we are not in competition with our customers and we can concentrate on our core business: engineering and manufacturing ceramic powders to meet your needs.
TAM Ceramics is proudly ISO 9001: 2008 certified.
At TAM we are firmly committed to:
Employee and community safety
Environmental responsibility
Exceeding customer expectations
Continuous improvement
Quality and value
Each employee of TAM Ceramics is responsible for delivering quality products on time using safe and effective processes.

TAM Business Vision

Manufacturing high quality engineered powders
TAM’s business vision is 3-fold. Our first objective is organic growth of existing products, which includes newly developed friction products that include a low surface area monoclinic zirconia and a fiber-free version of potassium titanate. Our second objective is to utilize the idle assets that exist from the former dielectrics business by offering manufacturing services or toll processing to other ceramic industry partners and associates. Our final and longer-term objective is to utilize TAM’s valuable assets including low-cost power, an experienced workforce, high capacity of idle advanced powder processing equipment, and our historical technical competencies to develop novel material technologies, such as renewable energy applications and nano material systems. TAM is currently working on developing thermoelectric materials.
